One of four adults present (plus a first-winter). This particular bird (bird 1) had very fine (pencil mark), faint brownish streaking over much of the head. It also had some blue paint/dye on the rear of the tarsus and some on the flanks!

The second of four adult birds (bird 2). The yellow feet are just visible. Note the dark subterminal mark to the bill.

Bird 2 again. This individual has a significant black subterminal band to p10 and so a small white tip and large white mirror. The orbital ring is clearly rather bright red.
