HOPE CARR NATURE RESERVE
Once the undisputed champion wader site in the county, it is currently a shadow of it's former self but still occasionally produces! The complete site guide can be found here and the all time species list seen there can be found here.
147- Ian McKerchar Having been regular (often ridiculously regular in the early days!) since it's first 'discovery' in the autumn of 1992, this site has produced some real county birding highlights for me most noticeably in the wader department and the impressive flocks of them it used to 'drag in', my best 'site blockers' over the years however are Marsh Harrier, Osprey, Merlin, Little Gull, Turtle Dove, Pied Flycatcher and Treecreeper, I've also seen 27 species of wader which includes Sanderling and Turnstone. Birds I have missed over the years, though few and far between are Black Tern, Iceland Gull, Mediterranean Gull and Long-eared Owl. 141- Andy Isherwood Andy's lists includes Pectoral Sandpiper, Sandwich Tern, Temminck's Stint (both the former were self-found), Water Pipit, Mediterranean Gull and 23 species of wader in total but still has a few species he 'needs'. added Green Woodpecker, 03.09.10
