These rarity articles originally appeared in the 'Short Notes' sections found in pre-1992 Greater Manchester County Bird Reports and are published here with the very kind permission of their respective authors. The articles appear un-changed, 'as they were written' and I hope readers of them find them as interesting and remarkable as I do! Who says REAL rarities don't occur in our county?
