AUDENSHAW RESERVOIRS SITE LISTS

 

One of the most well watched site in the county, Audenshaw' s hardy bunch of keen regulars have amassed some impressive lists.

173 Rob Adderley One of the longest serving regulars, Rob's highly impressive list includes no less than all four species of Diver (and yes, that does include White-billed!), Fulmar, two Leach's Petrels, Osprey, Green-winged Teal, two Velvet Scoters, Grey Phalarope, Alpine Swift, Two Ring-billed Gulls, Sabine's Gull, Red-rumped Swallow, Lapland Bunting and an incredible 7 Arctic Skuas!
138 Paul Hammond Paul has been birding at Audenshaw for 11 years on and off but more regularly in the past 5 or 6 years and has accumulated great site birds such as Sabine's Gull, Temminck's Stint, Alpine Swift (self-found), Red-rumped Swallow Osprey, Short-eared Owl, Ring-billed Gull and all 5 (commoner!) grebes.
58 Andrew Newall Andrew is only fairly recently acquired Audenshaw as his local patch and admits to having plenty of scope for improvement but despite this is current best site birds are Great Northern Diver, Yellow-legged Gull, Slavonian Grebe and a (self-found) group of Whooper Swans.
