YELLOW-LEGGED GULL

The largest gathering of this species in Greater Manchester is of 5 birds in the roost at Audenshaw Reservoirs on the 12th January 2003.

The first recorded instance of an encounter with this species, then regarded merely as the Mediterranean race of Herring Gull, was of an adult at Audenshaw Reservoirs on the 27th July 1982.
