WREN

The largest gatherings of Wrens in the county involve 54 birds that went to roost in an attic in Haigh, Wigan on the 25th January 1984 and 88 birds at Pennington Flash on the 9th march 2005.

In 1983 a Wren built it's nest into a wreath hung from a gravestone!
