COMMON SWIFT
The largest gathering of Common Swifts in the county is of 5000 birds which has now been recorded on 3 occasions, all at Pennington Flash on the 19th July 1981, the 15th May 2001 and the 23rd May 2005.
It is worth noting that partial albino birds are not uncommon and have included individuals with white rumps and white lines down the side of the the rump and tail and white on the breast.
