1983   Audenshaw Reservoir 25th Jul An immature bird landed briefly before departing north-westwards
1984   Haigh 23rd-30th Apr An immature
1986   Pennington Flash 7th May A bird seen flying over
1990   Carrington Moss 19th Oct Prompted by heavy rain and easterly winds it was first seen at Carrington Moss, being later found at Scotman's Flash when it flew off west after heavy gull harassment.
1996   Pennington Flash 10th Apr  
2001   Pennington Flash 7-8th Jun Reappeared at Horrock's Flash 8th, 9th, 11-13th & 22-23rd Jun
2002   Audenshaw Reservoir 27th Apr flew over south-east
2008   Horrock's Flash 5-6th June Colour-ringed as a nestling on the 27th May 2008 at Besne, Loire-Atlantique, France. By the 7th June 2008 it had moved to the Ogmore Estuary, Glamorgan and by the 18th June 2008, on to the Exminster Marshes, Devon
