SONG THRUSH
The biggest flock of Song Thrushes to be recorded in the county was at Pennington Flash on the 12th October 1982 when some 100-200 birds were counted during a major influx of the species.
A bewildering sighting involved a Song Thrush actually laying an egg on a path infront of an observer at Reddish Val on the 21st May 1983!
