PINK-FOOTED GOOSE
The largest recorded skein of Pink-footed Geese over the county was of 3000 birds over Hope Carr Nature Reserve on the 30th November, 1997.
The largest recorded flock of grounded Pink-footed Geese in the county was of 245 birds on a rough field on Irlam Moss on the 31st December 2002. On the 31st December 2003, a Pink-footed Goose was seen to be taken out of a skein of Pink-feet by a Peregrine at Light Hazzles Reservoir.
