MOORHEN

The largest count of Moorhen at a single site in the county was made during September 1999 at Hope Carr NR and involved 126 birds.

An adult Moorhen ringed at Pennington Flash on the 21st October 1999 was found dead at Sikes Plantation, North Ayton, North Yorkshire on the 16th February 2000, a distance of 159kms.
