LITTLE RINGED PLOVER

The highest ever recorded flock of Little Ringed Plover in the county was of 29 birds on Astley Moss East Pools on 29th July 2006.

Little Ringed Plover first bred in Greater Manchester on the 28th May 1942, only four years after the first breeding record for the UK.
