GREAT SKUA
There are 13 records of Great Skua in Greater Manchester involving 14
individuals.
Two birds at Pennington Flash during October 1966 were
remarkably tame and when approached too closely would apparently fly towards,
rather than away from the observers, notably fishermen.
The longest staying individual, at Pennington Flash in August
1971, lasted some 10 days before it's departure.
