GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULL

The largest number of this species recorded in the county was 1005 birds in the roost at Heaton Park Reservoir in January 2008.

A bird ringed as a nestling at Vest-Agder County, on the southern tip of Norway on the 6th June 2001, was re-trapped on Pilsworth Tip on the 2nd February 2002.
