GREAT CORMORANT

The largest number recorded in the county remains the 175 birds at Pennington Flash on the 25th December 1995.

A bird found dead at Elton Reservoir in 1991 had been ringed as a nestling on Sheep Island, South Wales in 1982.

A bird wearing a green Darvic ring at Rumworth on the 18th December 2006 had been ringed as a chick at Denny Island in the Bristol Channel on the 14th June 2003.
