COMMON SNIPE

The largest recorded county number of this species was at Pennington Flash on the 28th September 1981 when 400 birds were counted but a combined count of Snipe at Pennington Flash and the nearby Tinker Joe's Flash (where there is a degree of interchange) produced about 1000 birds on the 29th October 1978.
