BUFFLEHEAD

There is but 1 record of this North American duck in the county and it's very brief occurrence was followed by what was presumably the same bird at Pugney's Country Park, West Yorkshire the very next day, staying there until the 22nd of April. There was then a series of sightings in the Midlands during May and June (and one from Derbyshire) all presumably relating to the same individual as that in Greater Manchester.
