BRENT GOOSE

         

The highest recorded flock was of 28 birds at Pennington Flash on the 26th March 2008.

 

The vast majority those Brent Geese encountered in the county and assigned to a race have been of the dark-bellied variety, bernicla. The first recorded occurrence of the pale bellied form hrota was of 5 birds at Elton Reservoir on the 28th September 2008.
