RING-BILLED GULL

There are currently 14 records of this American larid and Common Gull counterpart in Greater Manchester, involving 15 individuals.

The noticeable decline in numbers in more recent years has made Ring-billed Gull one of the most sought after species with more than 10 records on the county list but with vastly increased knowledge in the identification of this species since those early records a full review of all county records is perhaps in order.
